Process Painting + Collaborative Workshop with Meredith Bullock

  • The Warren 1002 Fatherland Street, Ste. 201 Nashville, TN, 37206 United States (map)

What would happen if more people used their experiences to create art? And what if they shared in that creation?

This Process Painting + Collaborative Workshop, taught by artist Meredith C. Bullock, explores this question with a collaborative atmosphere, tools and techniques that allow you to focus on the process of painting rather than the result.

You'll learn how to:
-use tools and materials to paint abstractly and for the process
-let go of fears and push against insecurities and limitations while painting
-express yourself in a more emotive, expressive and non-derivative way
-let go of possessing and perfecting your work in order to make a larger, co-created piece

Each student will leave the workshop with a better understanding of the basics of painting, how to create work that's based on experience and collaboration, and with the artwork they created as a beautiful reminder of their experience.

Students are asked to bring in a printed image of a person, place or thing that emotionally moves them. The image will be used for inspiration and not as a piece in the actual painting.

My mission is to help guide your actions to have more purpose and impact, to unlock your creativity, to gain prestige, to interact with and build your community, to feel safe and secure, and to improve your daily routine so you can be more effective, happy and balanced in life and in your creative career.

It’s not easy to share who I am and what I do in a short bio because there are many things that led me to where I am today. So if you’re like me and love to know the whole story, keep reading.

I was a small town girl with big dreams, raised by entrepreneurial parents, and encouraged to create a business with my talents. It took me years to figure it out, 13 years of being a hairstylist and several attempts and ideas in my Etsy shop, until something finally took.

I was able to quit my day job, explore my creative ambitions and learn how to support my family doing what I loved.

My business evolved from serving weddings to working together with creative entrepreneurs and artists. My husband and I moved to Nashville, we got pregnant, and a voice told me to start painting again–so I did, and now I’m here living my big dream, creating art and teaching others how to live their big dream too.

Choosing to pave your own creative path isn’t easy alone. You need guidance, feedback, tools, resources and accountability. Learn more about how I can support you here
